In about two weeks, we are set to accept a gift that will change our lives as we know it. Our baby is set to be born on February 7, 2006. There are so many uncertainties surrounding a child's birth, maybe that is why so many people choose to find out the gender of their unborn child. Soon to be parents just grasp at the one thing they can be almost certain about. It's interesting how so many parents comment, "Your life is going to change so much, you don't even know." As for us, we have chosen to keep the baby's gender a surprise to us and we really acknowledge the fact that our lives are about to change in a way that we can't possibly understand. Parenthood is certainly an adventure that we are really looking forward to for all of it's ideosyncracies whether they be good or bad. We believe we are as prepared as we possibly can be for such a life change. It will be interesting what will all come about from this parenting thing. Will our baby be a boy or girl? When will it be born? Will it be mild mannered like me or a combustible time bomb like Anna :)? What will he/she look like? So many uncertainties. Two things that we do know is that our baby will be loved completely and that we will do our absolute best to raise our child with respect to Jesus Christ's view of the world.
