It's okay to love and to be loved.

Neighbors.

I think most of us keep to ourselves these days and don't take advantage of the great people who live next door. Because of the recent snowfall in our area we have had the chance to meet some of our nice neighbors. Denise to the north of us shovels her walk every hour or so when it snows. She is meticulous about it. She puts us to shame. To the south of us our neighbor snow blows his yard and any communal sidewalk that hasn't already been shoveled. Twice now he has snow blown our entire walkway and driveway. For that we brought them cookies tonight.

As you can see in the picture the other side of the street seems much the same. The neighbors across the street appear to snow blow more than their own property. In the background a man and his daughter spent the morning snow blowing driveways, sidewalks and walkways. It is great to see others helping others.

Because of the snow that came we were able to get out and make connections with our neighbors. It is safe to keep to ourselves, but once you get out and meet those around you, it feel better than you would think. It is great to know who is around...it is great to have a connection.

What is all that white stuff? And that strange tool in your hand? We have never seen such things before! =)
