It was a beautiful day today. We were out on a walk with Evelyn and decided to take a nice leisurely drive to the country. Not even a mile out of town we pass a state trooper. Sure enough he turns around, gets on our tail and flashes us to pull over. He informs us that he pulled us over because we don't have a front license plate on our car. While looking for all the necessary info for the officer we discovered we could not find our insurance card, our new tabs (about two months old) were in our glove compartment and not on our plate, Steve's address is not updated on his driver's license and after rolling down our rear window for the officer learned that our tint (the same tint we have had in three different states for four years!) is illegal in Minnesota and it needs to be removed. Yeah, right. We will never remove the tint. Our tint is legal in Iowa and South Dakota the officer informed us. So, we are considering moving to one of those states.
Thank you Mr. Trooper for not pulling over the people who are speeding or tailing people at 70 mph. The world is a better place because we now know our tint is too dark and we need a front plate. We can't wait to call the number on the warning ticket to see what our fine will be!

That totally stinks. But I am wondering - why didn't you have the front plate on your car and why did you have to roll down the rear window?
