In my stead

Because of Troy and his sacrifice I live in a better world. Troy gave his life so that others could be free. He died protecting his children from a world of terrorism and chaos. I don't know if I will ever be asked to make such a sacrifice for others. Hopefully, because of Troy and his fellow servicemen, I won't have to. I am safe, warm, and free here in my home because of men and women like Troy. If only I could take the burden of grief from his family...
