It's okay to love and to be loved.

Naomi Judith Friese

Naomi was born Christmas Eve day at 3:06 pm. She weighed in at 9 lb 9 oz, and measured 22 in long. Anna had been having contractions somewhat steadily since Thursday. We finally felt like they were strong enough to go into the hospital Sunday night. Long story short, they sent us back home to wait it out a little more. Active labor really started on Monday at about 11 am. We waited a bit longer until the contractions were really close together. We came to the hospital again at around 2 pm. They monitored and checked Anna. She was at 9 cm and they rushed her into a birthing room. I guess they didn't think we were serious due to the episode the night before. They had to rush in some antibiotic because Anna is strep B. Once that was completed, our doctor broke Anna's water at 3 pm and Naomi was born at 3:06 as previously mentioned. Anna really only had to push for about 3 times before she was out. Anna and Naomi are both doing well and we will be spending a lovely Christmas holiday in the hospital. Lots of family were able to come shortly after the birth to visit and Grandma Rachel, Grandpa Cliff, Matt, Chloe, and Asher are all at our house taking care of Evelyn and celebrating the holiday. Anyway, here's wishing you a Merry Christmas!
