Parade time!

Last Sunday the annual Bavarian Blast Parade headed down our street. We had eight families over for some brats and a chair in the shade to watch the parade. It was a fun time of sugar-highs and small town fun.

The thing I like most about living in a small town is the opportunity to know people. Our town is small enough that people know where other people live and can invite themselves over for parade watching. It is small enough to know people IN the parade and get a lot of free goodies from 3M and Kraft because you know the people handing out the goodies. It is small enough to make me feel like I have a bit of family all around town because we have developed many wonderful friendships.
