It's okay to love and to be loved.

A day at the hospital...

Here's the little dude after coming home from his surgery in the big city. His finger has a pin in it and a cast to help with the healing for the next four weeks. His surgery was to repair his tendon on the tip of his index finger.
After waking up from the surgery. He was grumpy from being hungry more than anything. His nurse told us he has been the best two year old she has ever worked with. I tend to agree!
We tried to get a picture with him before the surgery. He just wanted to get down and play. There were so many people coming to talk with him/us before hand that he got a little annoyed by it.

It is nice to have this behind us. I am also so thankful to a surgeon that specializes in children as well as extremities such as hands and fingers! She was wonderful and is responsible for getting Isaiah's finger and dominant hand back to full use. While the cast is on, however, I have found that the poor guy can't feed himself very well. He graciously allows me to do that for him. Otherwise, the cast doesn't slow him down a bit.
